No.  We already have a way to set up bidirectional tunnels.

But that is not the main reason for my objection.  The main reason is 
that the further that MPLS and GMPLS diverge (and the more diverse 
ways there are of achieving a particular functionality) the worse the 
MPLS-GMPLS interworking/migration problem gets.

Pursuing this work would have a detrimental effect on MPLS/GMPLS.
