the working group chairs and the ADs have an ongoing discussion
on the MPLS working group charter.

We feel that it would be right to add a new work item to the
charter to produce a BCP on load sharing. ECMP type of behavior
would be benficial in MPLS enabled IP networks.

There have been individual drafts describing suggested behavior in
this area almost since the start of the working group. We think that
the working group is the right place to do this, since it has
implications on the work in other working groups, e.g. idetification of
payload in the PWE3 group and possibly also on work in the CCAMP
group.

We suggest adding the following milestone to the MPLS working charter:

           NOV 04     Produce a BCP for MPLS load sharing

  We would like to solitcit working group input on this proposed
charter extension. Please send commetns to the working group mailing
list no later than May 20 23.59 PM EST.
