During the TE link MIB review, a question was raised regarding the types of IP address that can be assigned to a TE link. Can traffic engineering links be created over link local or site local interfaces/links? RFC 3291 now specifies new address types, i.e. non-global IPv4/IPv6 addresses that include a zone index. Are these new address types applicable to TE links?
