NP-complete & traffic assignment

Hi,

Can you give me some explains about following concepts:

(1) NP complete problem in Constraint-based Routing?

(2) Traffic Assignment in MPLS Traffic Engineering?

And how to research...
(3) In MPLS Traffic Engineering, what problem I should research into Traffic
Assignment (e.g..Traffic Trunk => LSP)?

I think that MPLS TE contains 2 components: Path Management & Traffic
Assignment. But I don't know how to attacks Traffic Assignment component.
Can you give me some advices?
