The MPLS WG Archive[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next] [Date Index][Thread Index][Author Index][Subject Index] What is the "LDP entity table" used for?
hi,
In "draft-ietf-mpls-ldp-mib-07.txt", LDP entity is defined as "A table is used to configure potential LDP Sessions, where each row in the table initiates an LDP Session."
When do we use the information in the LDP Entity Table?
As I understand, each LDP_ID identifies a LDP Entity. Does that means we have to creat a LDP entity for each label space? Because the last bits in LDP_ID identify label space. If the LSR has two mpls-interfaces. One is ATM-based and the other is fr-based. They certainly use different label spaces. If LSR creat two LDP Entities for them respectly, can these two interface interwork?
In the LDP Entity Table, some entries specify label distribution mode, such as mplsLdpEntityLabelDistributionMethod and mplsLdpEntityLabelRetentionMode. Are they different in different LDP Entity(i.e. different row in LDP Entity Table).
Best regards!
