also have a look at rfc2764. this isn't focussed on 
mpls vpns per se, but shows how mpls, which in the 
context of vpns can be viewed primarily as a qos 
capable tunneling mechanism, can be used with 
different models of vpns.

A WG to work on VPN standards has been proposed,
and a BOF will be held in Pittsburgh.
The proposed WG will standardize a number of proposals,
rather than trying to pick just one.
